28-2 sells for $3300?

I was surprised that the second place bidder, TexasPasha, did not win the bid. Last month he won a Registered Magnum for just north of $14k. And his list of purchases from high end dealers just goes on and on. Wish my pockets were half as deep.

Edit: Guess I didn't have too much to do, so out of curiosity, I went and checked the guns bought on GB by the above mentioned person JUST for the month of February. He purchased 31 guns for a total of $155,383. He has a total of 748 items purchased from GB. The ones in February ranged from $1175 to $22,203. Would love to see his/her collection.

How are you able to see who is bidding on the auction?

Click on the bidder's feedback, which will take you to their feedback page. There you can look at "feedback as buyer" and you can look at the auctions for which they've received feedback. At a certain point in time the auctions will no longer be retained as viewable.

Great pictures and a good story with a $1.00 starting bid, will get a lot of attention and a lot of bids usually. The seller appears to have some very nice guns.

Both of them I guess are not hourly wage workers.

We talk about 1%ers but some people are much better than that.

He’s got to be a reseller or flipper. $155k in a month isn’t a hobby, it’s a business by any definition. I wonder if he’s a FFL?

I'm glad I found this beater last summer for eight fiddy. Yep, it's that rare S prefix. Notice that there is no turn line. It was dirty as sin when I bought it so I know it was shot. Prices seem to be going up.

Just SHOOT IT!!! Ask me why my name is sw282

Well, it took two bidders to get there....
Seller is very impressed with the S serial number, but they made those for at least 14 years, so it must be this:

:D:D;);)

The time capsule features a 4" pinned barrel, 1/8" Baughman quick front sight with adjustable rear leaf sight, satin blue finish, six shot recessed and counterbored cylinder chambered for .357 magnum/.38 spc.

WOW! Buyer must have really been impressed by all of these "Special Features" Especially the recessed and counterbored cylinder Must have been a factory special order.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Are there ever enough ?

I reload .357 and shoot that one. I never buy anything I don't plan to shoot.

I also load 38 Spl. 32 Long and 38 Short Colt. I don't have anything that was specifically chambered for 38 SC but I might find something that tickles my fancy some day. 38 SC works well in my model 36.

"Pristine"? It's got a turn ring and shell impressions on the recoil shield.

WOW... I think my S192649 is much closer to new-unfired-in-the-box...

I actually like your M28 with the “perfect patina” better.
Not $3300 better, but there is something about it that makes me want to hold it.

Good luck flipping a $1200 gun that you paid $3300 for. Not much meet left on that bone. :)

No doubt but he may as others mentioned a shill bidder or otherwise related to the seller who was running up the price but got caught with it when the other bidders dropped out. Ide be shocked if $3300+ actually changes hands on that deal. I suspect that gun will turn up again somewhere for sale in the not so distant future.
